COLLEGE OAK TOWING ~BEWARE~ Charges For Vehicle that I do not own collection agency ripoff beware unscrupulous devious crooks

This company towed a car that was no longer in my possession because I had sold it. They never contacted me about the car just sent it to a collection agency by the name of RICKENBACKER GROUP. Since this was not my car this was not my account or debt.

They want me to pay for towing and storage of a vehicle that was not in my possession and that no longer owned. That did not matter to them. The amount they want is almost 2,000 dollars.

I have gone rounds with the collection agency RICKENBACKER GROUP. I sent proof that I had submitted a release of liability with the DMV and Gave them the name of the new owner. They still continued to come after me for this debt.

The RICKENBACKER GROUP said since this I was the last registered owner it was my problem. The RICKENBACKER GROUP has filed a negative report on my credit file. Since I never had an account with them I would like to know how they obtained my SSN isn't it illegal to do this. So beware of this company. You might be next.
