Falsifies DAC reports

USA Truck is the absolute worst company any driver could work for. I, and my girlfriend, have both worked there.in 2/04 we decided to move to Louisiana (from S.C. For me). We contacted USA Truck in Jan and told them what was going on. She, my girlfriend, told them that she was going to be my passenger and would be turning her truck in at the Shreveport, LA terminal. They said, ok. She never got her last paycheck, never received any escrow money and they tried to say she owed them a couple hundred dollars (don't remember exact amount).

For me, it was a different story. I contacted USA Truck in Feb and told them I needed to have some time off in order to move. They said, "ok, that shouldn't be a problem". I got my normal weekend time off (after being out for 3 weeks) and told them I needed to pack my stuff and move to Louisiana and that I would be able to drive again Tuesday.

Well, first that was ok, but when we got everything done and were ready to leave they changed their mind. "Well, can you bring a load to Louisiana for us and then do what you have to do?" I said, "No, we have to get there by tomorrow, get an apartment and get everything moved in so I can come back out and drive." Their response, "Well, if you can't do that for us, then leave your truck there." "You do know it's at a little truck stop right now and you'd rather me leave it here than drive to Lousiana and start working again in a day and a half?" "Yes, we'll get someone to come pick up the truck. Can you stay with it until the tow guy comes?" "Sure, I guess so."

Well, we took pictures of all the Qualcomm messages so we would have verification that I was told to "leave the truck there". I knew it would bite me in the @$ later and I was right. USA Truck put me down as "truck abandonment" even though they told me to leave it. I stayed with the truck until the tow guy showed up... I even waited until he left to make sure nothing happened to the truck physically. I never received my last paycheck and was told I owed close to $800 in fees/expenses. These people suck! One time while I was in for maintenance I made the off hand comment "I wish something bigger was wrong so I could have a day off". Ya know what the shop guy did?! He busted my windshield with a hammer and said, "there, now you're here for at least a day cause the glass guy just left." He actually thought he was doing me a favor!
