I am a student who needed a car to go back and forth to school. I bought a car from D R Prestige Motors. The salesman was Tim Edwards and his father Dennis Edwards. They said the car was in good condition and it was in perfect condition for driving on the highway since I went to school in Chicago.
I got the car AS IS, because they said it was in good condition. I paid a total of $1848.31 for the car. I am a veteran and the only money I have is my GI Bill money. The car worked for less than a week when I took it to a mechanic friend of mind and he said one of the cyclinders was out and I would need a new motor. A new would cost me $2000.00. I had had the oil changed and I was planning on having a complete tune-up Jan 6, when I received my veteran's benefits.
Now I will have to quit school because my mother was taking me back and forth to school 5 days a week. She took me in the morning and picked me up at night. She did this so I could save money to buy a car. Also she was not working at the time, but she goes back to work in February. She also loaned $750.00 for this piece of junk car.
I went back to Prestige Motors and they said you took it as is and they couldn't do anything about. I am upset and stuck!
