RIPOFF Bad workmanship Almost killed us

Went in to get our brake pads replaced. Got car back only to find that the emergency/parking break was no longer functioning.

Took it back had to deal with the 'it must have been broken before' questions. Then the mechanic said he didn't know this brake type. It's a Toyota Corolla for crying out loud. So he goes prodding in the brake drum and adjusts some stuff. Then the handbrake works on one wheel. The other wheel he can't fix that day because it's time to go home... But he says that the brake keeps coming undone by itself so some of the new parts they put in must be broken.

Next day we get the car back and ask what was wrong, oh just adjustments the guy says. So now they claim nothing was broken.

Then driving on the freeway the wheels vibrate like mad. All that prodding must have unbalanced the tires or something. Great speant many hours trying to get a simple thing done like getting new breakpads. Almost got killed in the process, are now having the car checked by a 3rd party.

Stay away from these pros.
