Attempted rip off - brake repai

I got a complete brake job at Monroe Muffler on Rt. 80 in East Haven, CT last August. I paid $1,300 for rotors, calibers and brake pads. I was disappointed to see the calibers rusty after one month. The manager told me this was normal yet my old one never had any rust on them. Anyway I excepted his explanation of it being normal even though most of my friend's disagree.

I recently broke my emergency brake cable. My wife took it to be checked out and after taking wheels off, they concluded my emergency brake cables needed to be replace for a cost of $318. Needless to say we declined and took the car to Firestone who replaced the one emergency brake cable (as only one needed to be replaced) for $98.

This location attempted to take advantage of my wife and tried to replaced perfectly functioning equipment. They we're greedy and ultimately lost our business and others who we might have referred.
