Ripoff blank documents credit app existing vehicles

Cars & Transport

My wife and I went to Ingram park Nissan in San Antonio, TX This past Dec in Search for a Nissan Armarda 2006 LE 4x4 with specific features. Ready to buy with blank check in hand. We purposely drove up in a run down car and first Sales guy approached I gave that person the chance for a guaranteed SALE. Luckily, we hade a specific request. Vehicle had to be silver. According to them, there was only one in the entire U.S. I specifically asked for odometer and VIN # as proof. They wanted to charge over 1,000 dollars to bring to TX, but they didn't want to tell us where it was coming from cause of their concerns that they were going to loose a SALE.

I was concern on how they were going to bring it down and how. That's why i asked about odomter. They never answered my questioned and danced around the topic. My father use to be a tow truck driver and always said, "Always haul a 4 wheel drive on a flat bed. I also wanted to make sure that not just some Joe guy was going to drive it down. You're just asking for problems. Sales Mgr wanted me to sign blanks documents even when there was no verification of vehicle, odometer, and vin. They were also attempting to fill out a credit application without my express consent or request, this is after I thought about what had just happen/that's how smooth they are. This is how they tried to do it. Be very aware they fill out the form for you, then quickly tried to turn that form around and get me to sign. I advised Sales mgr. May I have copies. Exact quote, "YES". I turn to the Sales Person and said if I don't get copies your not getting my ID and Insurance card. Don't forget to count the forms. Sales mgr comes back with the Inocent Act, "So where are we?" My copies? I said. He states, I cannot give you those douments after speaking with his Sales Director. Those are internal documents only. I had a gut feeling what they were attempting to do is fill in the blanks with figures they wanted to show. I literally had to tell the sales person to write 1500 as my rebate on the form. One example, they wanted my 1500 rebate to show as a down payment. I thought that was very strange. I got a blank check that should take care of everything. No questions asked. I thought to myself why am I having to go to finance dept. So Sales mgr refused. And he literally said, Have a good night.

They rather loose the sale then be caught with their pants down cause they knew I was catching on to what they were trying to do to us. Warning to other consumers make sure you don't feel any blank documents cause once they send you over to the finance dept, the Sales dept has covered themselves and can change anything on the forms to reflect their numbers they want for a profit. I turn to the Sales person / poor guy only trying to do his job and I said sorry. You could just see his face reaction "Priceless". We were ready to walk out, when I stop by the Infamous FISHBOWL. This is were all the tadpoles hang out. I said excuse me, Whose the Director here? Unknown person says, I am. I said your Sales mgr is a Liar. (The louder the better cause you get their attention) I said "He should not be promising things he cannot deliver." And before we left I asked him to tear all documents up in front of the entire office looking in on the Director's Office. AS much as I hated the situation, It was actually an eye opener and learning experience. So I put on my thinking hat. No more three to five hour sesions. I emailed several dealerships in the STATE of TX and this time I was rude as a mother and upfront. I told several dealers through emails to call me with my specific request otherwise don't even bother calling. Well, it worked. I got someone, "No name mentioned of course" to fax me the records of exactly what I was looking for.

VIN#'s, date ship, production date, dealer loc, dealer address, and dealers number. Each dealer has access to this information but they just don't want to share. Ohhhh, they were also lying about how many there were. There were four in the U.S. And after talking to other dealers it looks like what they were trying to do was run a credit application and literally have me wait close to 60 days for a vehicle of my choice. I found out through other dealers next production was not till beginning to mid feb. Yet they wanted to close the deal in end of Dec They brag about how their numbers are high on Sales, but one thing they couldn't brag on was Customer Satisfaction. The only thing I can recomend to eveybody is get Business cards. If I get a chance I'll update later. Don't be afraid to be rude.

Believe me, it's not in my nature. You waste less time. I will never go to this guys again and i hope this helps people out there to be on there card. They are not your friends.
