Courtsy Auto ripoff, sold us a car that they knew had a bad engine. Broke down 3 times in the first week

My daughters father (my ex) went to jd byryder to get her a car as the one we have has almost two hundred thousand miles on it. He had to put eight hundred dollars down and the payments were almost two hundred every two weeks.

They also had him buy an extra warrenty which cost alot extra to have because they said that if the car was to need repair it would be cheaper this way. The thing is that if it breaks down you have to pay the first one hundred dollars and then a percent of the balance.

Before we even left the lot the car wouldnt start but the guy said that it was because someone left the lights on. So i asked the guy that if it broke down within a few weeks would we have to pay the hundred dollars and he said no. So on the next day it wouldnt start and we had to jump the battery again.

After three days of this we finally had to have it towed to their owned company. Courtesy auto of ravenna ohio at our expense. Cost being eighty five dollars but they didnt care. Found out that the battery needed replaced and they wanted to charge me for it. They said that the oil needed changed so we had someone we know do it for us and they found metal shreds in it which only meant that they were tryin to cover up a bad engine. I called the corp. And they said to take it in and have the engine fixed but i had already called the warrenty company and they told me that it would cost me about three thousand dollars to replace the engine.

The car was an old one with one hundred some miles on it so it wasnt worth it to me to put that much into it since they knew ahead of time that it was bad. We turned the car back into them without them repoing it but they are still trying to sue her father for the balance of around nine thousand dollars.

After we took it back we seen it on the lot for sale the next day and one of my daughters friends was shown the car when she went to purchase one there. Right away we told her to go somewhere else as they are a ripoff place so she did.

In all we lost out on about three thousand dollars within one month of purchasing the car. So i am letting all of you know not to purchase from any jd byryder or courtesy as they are owned by the same people.
