Bad Service, rip off, high pressure tactics

We set out to purcharse a new Hyndai which we researched and decided was great auto for the price. However, the service and high pressure sales tactics that this dealership dealt us marred our experience of buying a Hyundai. The so called "finance manager" tried his best to sell us the extended warranty for a car that already has a great warranty period. We had to refuse four times before he gave up! He did convince us to buy the rust proofing and interior protection package for an additional $900! We were told that this is an absolute must especially in a climate where it snows and the city uses salt on the highways.

I found that this is the biggest scam one can get suckered into. Cars, these days don't need all that. I should have done my research before agreeing to buy it. But it just goes to show that car dealers are not honest people. What ever value Hyundai offered over a Honda or Toyota they erased by pressuring us to buy these high priced extras that you don't need and make them a huge profit.

I wish Hyundai knows how their dealers operate. Hyundai as a car company, has stepped up to the plate are trying to be competitive with Honda and Toyota but the dealership that we went through will not help their cause. They made us for several days because they were "backed up". I doubt that spraying a car with whatever $5 spraycan they use takes a whole lot of time. When we finally did pick up the car, they forgot to give us our permit sticker.

When I called them about it two days later, they said they realized they forgot to give it to us as soon as we left the parking lot. However, they never called us to let us know. We had to call them and go pick it up. Morries' slogan is "Service is Key" but apparently they forgot the "key" at home when we purchased the car from them. My previous and first car purchase was a Corolla from a Luther delership and I had a much better experience with them.

From our experience, I would not recommend a Morries dealer especially Morries Hyundai Nissan in Brooklyn Park.
