If you are looking to buy a car from a Fuccillo dealership, don't! Buy you car from another dealership Any dealership at all will be better for you.

The people at Fuccillo Hyundai of Syracuse were great when I went to purchase my car. They were helpful and courteous; they did a great job. Once I signed my contract however, it was another story entirely.

It began with the rust proofing package that I purchased with my car. My salesman, Dale Hendrix, agreed to pick up my new Hyundai Elantra from my place of work on the following Monday at 9 am to have the rust proofing completed. According to our agreement, my car would be returned to me before noon on the same day so I could have it to run errands on my lunch break. I happily left the dealership with my new Hyundai thinking I would have no problems. Nine o'clock Monday morning rolled around and I hadn't heard anything from the dealer. Ten o'clock rolled around, then eleven, still nothing. I called the dealership at about 11:15am. I told the person that answered the phone about the agreement that Dale and I made to get my car picked up for rust proofing. She had no idea what I was talking about so she sent me to the service department. I went through my whole story again. The service guy waited until I got through my whole story, then he told me "we don't deal with that, you need to talk to sales." He sent me to the sales department and again I went through my whole story. Again the guy didn't know what I was talking about; he sent me to my salesman, Dale. Dale got on the phone and pretended there was no problem. He showed up over an hour later to pick up my car. Needless to say I was without my car for my lunch break so I couldn't run my errands. The end of my work day, 5 pm, rolled around and I still didn't have my car back. Apparently Dale didn't care to bring it back even though he knew I got done with work at 5. I called the dealership and talked to Dale and he seemed to have forgotten again. He told me that my car was done and he would bring it right out. I feel it is important to note here that my work is literally 5 minutes from the Hyundai dealership because better than 30 minutes later, Dale showed up with my car which was stinking to high heaven. I got a buzz just from sitting in my car! So ended my first very disappointing after-the-sale experience with Fuccillo Hyundai of Syracuse.

The latest problem with the dealership involves the recent college graduate rebate that I was supposed to get for purchasing my car. It's been two months and I still haven't received my rebate. I'll spare you the details of this but I will tell you that I have literally spent more than 2 hours on the phone over the course of the last 2 days to get this resolved and I haven't gotten any closer to getting my rebate. It's the same old song and dance every time I call the dealership. They hand it off two to three times at least and each time the person I speak to has no idea what I'm talking about. They agree to look into it and call back and they don't call back. The last person I talked to, who also had no idea what I was talking about, seemed to be telling me that I wouldn't be getting my rebate. I have to wait until Monday to see if he bothers to call me back. Somehow I doubt that he will be getting back to me.

If you are reading this and you are considering shopping at a Fuccillo dealership, especially Fuccillo Hyundai of Syracuse, I hope that you will take me advice and shop elsewhere. I have nothing to gain by sharing my experience with you. I only hope that I can help a few people avoid the difficult situation I'm in. The people at Fuccillo Hyundai refuse to honor their agreements and they refuse to take any responsibility for their deals after they get their money. Knowing that, how could you give them your hard earned money?
