Cars & Transport

When I can to River walk Auto shop to buy a car the owner was working on the engine of a 1996 Plymouth Breeze in his garage. The owner told me was changing the 4 valves on the engine and was going to change the timing belt etc. He told after he do this work on the car this would be a good car to buy. I asked him several times was this a good car to purchase and he told me yes. I reluctantly started making payments on the car before he was finished to ensure that I would get the first chance to buy a good car. After he finished the work I drove the car, the car drove tight and I mention this to you. I told him several times that I was buying the car for my daughter and I did not want a car that would breakdown on her. He ensure me this was a good car and it was okay to purchase. He told me that he would sale the car to me for 2000 thousand dollars after he put the sunroof in. He said if anything goes wrong with the car he would work with me to get it fix. After driving the car four days with a fresh oil change, I found out the car was burning oil at a very high rate, there wasn't any oil in the engine. I put more oil in the car again, then a week later the car stop again. I told River Walk & Auto that the engine had big problems and the owner told me that he was open to writing off the car but he need a replicable shop to say that the engine was bad. River walk & Auto said that he was also open to help pay for the repairs. I told him that I would have the car towed to a shop and bring you the receipts proving the engine was bad. I brought River walk & Auto a receipt; Her said he was not going to pay for the total repairs. The repairs were more then River Walk Auto Repair wanted to pay. Then, he suggested that River walk would pay for the repairs and put the cost on the end of the balance of the car. Then, he suggested he would totally write off the car as long as I would keep making payments for the second car brought from River Walk. Then River Walk changed his mind because he said he was not sure if I would pay you for the second car now since the first deal went bad. Here is part of the letter that I wrote River Walk & Auto.

Here is a repair invoice proving that this engine/car has problems. The repairs on this car almost equal what you are trying to charge me for the total price of the car. The shop also said the timing belt broke and the damage occurred to the engine because you did not replace the timing belt tensioner when you did the first head job. The same issues that you said you repaired before you sold the car is the same repairs that the car needs now. The shop said it would be better if I would buy a new engine to put in the car. You lead me to believe the car that I was purchasing from you was a good car and it would not need any immediate repairs. I feel that you have cheated me and you owe me 800.00 dollars for the monies I have already paid on the car for a two week use. You have caused me and my family money and a lot of stress and pain. I suggest that you write this car off. I have attached the receipt from B & L Discount Auto Repair Shop INC. For the repair cost to fix your Plymouth Breeze. The grand total for repairs is $1649.59 Please send a tow truck to pick up your car or send me the Title so we can close this matter decently.
