Full Service Damage Car Wash, ripoff

I took my 1996 BMW 318i Convertible in for a "Full Service Car Wash" on Saturday July 30, approximately 3:00pm. From the customer waiting area, I looked out to see the manager, Pat Copeland, who says he is the owner and not a part of any franchise... I see him going through my truck and struggling with the antenna.

I rushed out to ask if there has been a problem and the manager went to explaining that when they attempted to remove the antenna for the wash, it broke off. He continued with how the car was old and the antenna was worn and it was not their fault. I left the location with the idea I would take the car to my BMW service center on Monday morning to have the antena fixed.

I went home, parked the car in the garage. Approximately an hour later, I went to the garage to drive the car on another errand and immediately noticed the hood BMW emblem had been broken off. Crying and frantic, I drove the car back to the location expressing my disbelieve that they had not only broken by antenna but broken the hood emblem as well.

The manager, trying to deal with a frantic customer, went on expressing the problem was not his concern because the car has "over 100,000 miles" on it and that the decal is mearely a sticker that comes off often in the machine. He agreed to call the BMW service center to replace the "sticker", but would not compensate for the broken antenna or refund my money for the wash.

Besides being very disappointed with the treatment I received in my emotional state, I still can't believe I received such horrible service from a "Full Service Car Wash." On average, I always take my vehicle through the automatic, soft brush machines and have never had problems.
