Ugly Duckling Car Sales - Drive Time
Ripoff, scumbags, car held together with bubblegum

Call me naive, but my credit was not even bad when I started looking around for cars in I just had no clue as to what kind of credit that I had. I was fairly new to the Orlando area and driving a xcar with no A/C and melting away at quite an intense pace. On the radio i heard this catchy jingle for an easy finance, low down, any kind of credit accepted car dealership aka Ugly Duckling. Well, I called them was pre approved over the phone and went on in to check out the autos.

Well to put it bluntly they pretty much held me hostage in their little dealership after showing me numerous cars that they claimed had low miles, is 100,000 miles low? I had no clue because i know as much about cars as I do brain surgery. Well after they swayed me to a 1996 Nissan Sentra showing me definately how cold that a/c could blow, after all thats what I really wanted in my car, they continued to keep me there signing numerous forms. I still have no clue as to what they were.

As it turns out the car was crapier than the old heap i had been driving, the first clue should have been after the first week when the headlight burnt out and the mechanic told me they were held in by bubblegum! Yes genuine pink chewing gum. The transmission went next then brakes, alternator, muffler, power, windows, and wipers. The locks were possesed that sometimes you could get in sometimes not.

The actual frame of the car was welded back together I only realized this as a result of an accident and total loss of the car. Please understand that this was after 2 months of ownwership and all of the repairs I paid for out of pocket. Everytime I called the dealership to ask them why this gem was falling apart they told me it was my car and my problem.

Now I owe $8000 for a $2000 car. My credit is ruined. If anyone out there could advise me on how to repair/rebuild my credit I would greatly appreciate it. For now I will just suffer with my poor choice of a car/dealership/salesman.
