Toyota Of Huntington Beach
Sold me a Certified Toyota that had been in major wreck Ripoff

Cars & Transport

I live in Huntington Beach, CA and I went to Huntington Beach Toyota to purchase a new or late model used car or truck. It was a horrible experience and I regret purchasing from them to this day. I did make it a point to tell friends, family, co-workers and even other car dealership about my experience. Word of mouth is so important to warn others.

Buying a truck from Toyota of Huntington Beach was the worst dealership experience I've ever had. It was the most stressful and time consuming dealership experience I've ever had. The salesmen was a liar and the manager was unprofessional at best. I found a truck I really liked and I was told by my salesman that the truck was a trade in from a woman and it had only been there a few days. It sounded like he was telling the truth, because the truck was clean and low milage and it was TOYOTA CERTIFIED!

I was trying to negotiate a fair price and put the minimum cash down. You know, negotiate a deal. Well, I had to listen to the sales manager flip out and yell. This was business and he didn't have to act like that. I was paying the sales price, but I have excellent credit and wanted to put as little down as possible. Then, after being subjected to listening to his manager yell across the floor from the booth, I had my loser salesmen come back and give me this line how it was the best they could do. Yeah, sure. So, rather than listen to my gut feeling to walk, because I saw other people getting into heated verbal debates with the same manager (Real professionals) I made the HUGE MISTAKE OF STAYING AND BUYING THE TRUCK FROM TOYOTA OF HUNTINGTON BEACH.

After agreeing on a price and 3 hours of BS, now it was another hour to get in and sign the contract. After waiting and waiting,
I was finally able to give my downpayment and buy the truck.

Well, then you have to wait for it to be washed and cleaned, another hour. While I was enjoying waiting for the truck, I asked my salesman to level with me about the truck and was the story he told me true? He said that in reality the truck was purchased from an auction and it had been there over 30 days.

I was so mad, but I was numb from the hours of stress and games to simply buy a truck. I signed the contract, I was stuck with it. I told him that wasn't nice and thanks a lot. I was fuming. I just wanted to get out of there and never return. It was hell and the car buying process was filled with stress and BS games. I get the truck home and within two weeks, it was in the shop for repairs. Ohhhh, how I wish I didn't buy it. The total process took longer than 4 hours.

FAST FORWARD to 2 years later when I go to trade the truck in at another dealership (no way in hell would I go back to Toyota HB) and this other dealership is honest, fair and professional. Basically everything Toyota of HB isn't. So, the manager of this dealship is out checking my trade in and I'm in the office drinking coffee when the manager comes in from outside and says " HOW BAD WAS THE WRECK?" I asked him "What wreck?" He stated that my TOYOTA CERTIFIED truck had been in a major wreck and took me outside to show me proof. He showed me how the doors on one side didn't have serial numbers, the weld lines when sheet metal was replaced and the paint lines where they almost perfectly covered it up. The truck had been through a huge side impact wreck and most of the side was replaced. I felt sick and I felt very mad. All I could think about was my liar saleman at Toyota of Huntington Beach. They said that it's a very clean truck and looks great, but they'd have to whole sale it out because they'd never put something like that on their lot. They gave me $4,000 less than it was worth towards my new truck purchase. I regret believing that Toyota Certified means something, when in truth, it's meaningless. I was sold a wrecked truck that was put back together and sold at auction. Only to have Toyota of Huntington Beach make it Toyota Certified and sell it to some poor car buyer. The Honest dealer I was at gave me a free CARFAX report and it showed all the history on the truck. I only wished I knew about Carfax or I'd never have bought the truck in the first place. I hope my true story helps show you what dealing with Toyota of Huntington Beach is like and how you can get ripped off. I feel good that I've prevented with my story, friends, neighbors and coworkers from buying from Toyota of Huntington Beach. It's perfectly legal to share your experience with others as long as it's the truth.

I live in HB and I will tell my story for years to come when someone says "I'm looking for a new car." I will let the truth be known about Toyota of Huntington Beach. Car & truck buyers beware. Don't let the time limit expire like I did to take legal action. The above story is 100% true. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and my point for writing it was to prevent someone from having the same negative experience I had with Toyota of Huntington Beach.
