Almost a year ago, I was in a bad situation. Single mom, started working full-time, no money, and my car got reposessed. I went with my boss looking for a inexpensive car. There was a car lot on the corner right by my work. I had never bought a used car before in my life so I had no idea what to look for. I was used to leasing brand new vehicles so there was never any reason to believe there would be problems with the car. When I test drove the 1991 Ford Tempo (that I ended up buying) it seemed like it was in pretty good shape for the price of the car. My biggest beef with the car was that the A/C was broken. The owner Steve told me it would be no problem to charge it up and get it going again. He also told me he would replace the two front tires. Some other small agreements were made and I paid cash for the car.

The tires were replaced, I will give him that, but the A/C was never fixed. I took it to the mechanic he sent me to to have it charged up and that guy told me I would need a new compressor. So, that never happened.

Two weeks later the car backfired and put a hole in my muffler. When I took the car in to get it replaced the mechanics showed me all of the rust throughout the whole car! I couldn't believe it. It looked like the car sat in a lake somewhere! Under the hood was rusted, under the car, under the paint, under the carpet, even where the seat belts connect its rusted. I was amazed and angry that I was taken advantage of like that. Needless to say I have sunk about $750.00 in the car since I bought it in July.

I've tried calling Steve Maize on numerous occasions and of course he just hangs up on me, literally. Now its burning oil and I can't bring my self to pay to have it fixed since the car isn't even worth $200.00. I have a small child I drive around in that rust bucket and its not safe. Its one thing to sell a unsafe crapy car to an individual, but its another to sell one to a single mom with a small child. I am scared everyday when I go on the road with it, I'm afraid its going catch on fire or blow up. Maize Motors is a JOKE!
