Ripoff Inaccurate Credit Reporting

In February I got a loan from Drive Financial (Drive) to purchase a 2003 Honda Accord. The rate they gave me was 18%. I had some credit issues at the time so I was glade to just get approved. My plan was to improve my credit and get refinanced as soon as possible. After I got some things taken care of on my credit report and after 7 months of perfect payment history another company agreed to refinance me at 7% interest. This happened in October. They issued a payoff check to drive and paid the remaining balance of the account in full. It lowered my monthly payment by $150! In

February of this year I decided to buy a house. I got a copy of my credit report and I noticed that the Drive Financial account was still being reported as open and it stated that I was 120 days past due. I immediately called the company and asked for a payment history. The payment history showed that I was never late and had paid off the account in October. So I put in a dispute with the 3 major credit agencies. It did no good. They still report that I was past due 120 days.

I called Drive and after speaking with several people who tried to give me the runaround I finally spoke with Tammala Huges. Mrs. Huges is over credit reporting. She told me that they have been having that problem since they switch over to the new system last June. She said that several customers have had the wrong information sent to credit agencies. Mrs. Huges was able to help me get one credit agency to report it correctly but I still have been unable to get the other 2 corrected. Every time I call her she is away from her desk. If you are thinking about doing business with Drive... Beware. They are a very unorganized and evasive organization.
