Horrible Moving Company & Scams

This is a horrible company. I booked moving services through Beckens moving in August. Total cost was $5500 to move a 3 bedroom from Chula Vista, California to Dallas, Texas. I was charged a $250 deposit to secure the date prior to the movers showing up which I didn't think was that unreasonable. However, Beckens didn't show up... Serenity Van Lines did! The movers were extremely unprofessional and didn't have all the packing material promised. Since I sold my house and my dates were set it was too late to change plans so we went with it. The movers put blankets and tape around all my big furniture and took all boxes etc and put it on the truck. When the movers arrived in Dallas I noticed my furniture had been damaged. There were knobs missing on TV stands, dressers, legs missing, and there was sticky tape on all of the media center furniture, couches, and tables. There was also some broken pieces. I was very upset and told the movers they damaged my furniture and they need to do a better job. I also told them that I needed the inventory sheet so I could mark it with what was wrong so we could both sign it before he left. We got into an argument, the main mover was very rude, and he left without even giving me the form. I immediately called Serenity to tell them what happened and they asked me to file a claim thru Anthem Claim Management 2351 W. Memorial Court, Anthem, AZ 85086. So I did that and took pictures of all the damaged furniture and they rejected the claim stating there were no remarks or exceptions on the descriptive inventory list noting any loss or damages. They referred me back to Serenity Van Lines to get the arbitration process if I wanted to pursue it but when I called Serenity, the number had been changed. They are not registered with BBB and basically they disappeared. DO NOT HIRE THESE COMPANIES OR DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM... YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
