Me and my wife recieved our tax refund in Febuary 2004 and both of us put thoughtful consideration into what was best to do with it. We both came to the conclusion to use it to purshase a good reliable vehicle. My brother had at the time resided in Marshall, Mo. We drove by a Ford dealership and thought we would check out what vehicles they had for sale. We had been looking at a 91 Ford F-250 pickup that had caught our eye. The sales lady that had showed us the truck at the time was very courteous and told us they was familiar with the previous owner of the truck and they was confident it was a good reliable vehihle.

Me and my wife had decided to purchace the truck and immediately after purchasing it, there was nothing but problems with the pickup. All in the first week of buying it, the brake line started leaking, it was leaking clutch fluid. But the most upsetting thing was the fact they sold us a vehicle they knew had a bad transmission. Two days after we purchaced the truck, there courtious attitude went to rude and they dont care.

They basically told us we purchased it as is, so were screwed. We spent our entire tax refund on that pickup so we didnt have anything left to to fix it with. So we was forced to drive it til it completely went to pieces or we could afford to fix it. I was offered a good paying job in Lincoln, Ne. And knowing the truck wasnt running good, had no choice but to drive it to Lincoln or lose the job.

I decided to chance it and by a miracle of god, it made it to Lincoln, Ne. But, this is no joke, it made it to the motel we was put up in by the company and the transmission completely went out.

This was in April and to this dare, the truck is still sitting there. Our cheapist estimate to replace the transmission is $1700. And thats for a junk yard transmission.
