False deals liars

I went to Fox Chevy in Baltimore to purchase a vehicle. I gave them $1000 down, and had a trade in. I was told that all paperwork was finalized and I was approved for a late model 2004 Malibu.

The next Monday I went back to the dealership, sat around for 8 hours (I work the graveyard shift) only to be told I was in fact no approved for the vehicle. They tried to usher me into two more cars, and after I asked for my own car back, they gave me another Malibu. I was told that all paperwork was secure (yet again) and that my trade in would be paid off.

Nearly 45 days later, the lien holder for my old car called me to ask for a late payment because the payoff check had a stop payment on it. After calling both a lawyer and Fox Chevy, they told me there was an error on the paperwork with my income and it was not approved. They offered to try again, but I requested my own vehicle and down payment back.

I am still waiting on my title and this has been since October. My advice is in the future to save more for a down payment and go to Car Max.
