I have visited this post office and never really had a problem with the Employee's until my last two visits. The most recent one was this past Friday and I was stuck with the same employee from the first horrible visit. I was not greeted only stared at as if I was to initiate some sort of interaction. Was also left standing at the end of the rope holding my box paperwork and two year old while the conversation they were having was finished, being the only customer I wanted to be in and out of there. When I was called upon I handed my box and paperwork over and started to explain I hadnt finished filling out my customs form because I wanted to see about having the box insured, I was interupt by having it shoved back to me telling me to finish filling it out. Then she seemed more interested in what my child was doing and by telling him what to do and to not touch things. My problem here is she is in no place to do that and if he was not doing anything to harm himself or any merchandise she should have left it alone instead of trying to discipline him. She then informed me the box could not be insured because it did not have the required padding around it (I was shipping a laptop to my husband who is on deployment so he can skype with us). I understood that but when I said Ok she kept on and on about how if something were to happen it would get damaged. I packed it pretty well and was confident nothing would happen to it she basically convinced me by not wanting to complete the transaction because she didnt want to do the work. I also filled out what is in the box and when asked if there were any liquids or batteries or perishable items I replied no. Being asked what is in the box is really not something I should have to answer I wrote it all down for a reason instead of questioning and finding something wrong with it just because she doesnt want to do the work is no excuse. I thought the first time it was just my fault but this is the second time in a row and I will NOT be back to ANY USPS. My husband will now not get to sit in on the webcam for his sons second birthday and he was on a different deployment for the first so has missed two in a row all because of someones poor work ethics with a customer. I have also spoke with numerous friends around the base and they all agree, they would rather travel to a different location that is 30 miles aways than deal with this establishment in Havelock and that right there is sad enough. If you cant provide a better service for these men and women who fight everyday for all there is to offer why have your business in this city at all???
