Honda Faulty Turn Signal - 2005 Honda Accord

Cars & Transport

I have a 2005 Honda Accord with 50,000 miles on it. A few days ago, my left turn signal stopped working. It wasn%u2019t the bulb, when I turned my left signal on it would do anything. I took it to Bob Lamphere%u2019s Honda dealer service department for service. It turned out the signal/hazard relay switch was faulty. I was charged $439 ($49.32 for parts and $364.68 for labor) to replace the switch. If they pay their mechanics $30 per hour that%u2019s 12 hours of work, they had my car for 6 and ½ hours to figure out a simple switch. That didn%u2019t make sense to me.
I went home and did some research on it and found out from the %u201CHonda Website%u201D under forums that the part is $25, they charged me $49.32. Then I found out from an engine repair website that it should only take 10 minutes to install the part. I don%u2019t see HOW it could possibly take Honda service $364.68 worth of labor (time) to diagnose the problem. UNBELIEVABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!
Let me just say I will never use a Honda dealer to do repairs again. This is not the first time I have wonder about the integrity of the company. I was ripped off
