Car bumper and visor - bumper and viso

I bought this car new in 2008. The promblem with the bumper started early on and I was told that nothing could be done about it. Also the visor on the driver side broke. I have own many cars and never has these two type of problems have ever happen to me. I bought a Honda because of it's repretation of having long lasting engines, however, I need the other parts to be of equal quality. Please help! I'm a single parent of three college students that I'm trying to support on a teacher's salary and this problem is common in the 2008 Honda Civic I would hope and expect Honda to want to stand by their product and replace and or fix it free of charge.
