I bought a used 2005 Honda Civic SI with 70,000 km on it in october and within the 8 months I have owned it I've had to replace the transmission already due to a part comming loose and breaking the transmission innards. I have been driving standard for 5 years and baby my vehicles and this transmission has always given me problems. I paid $2100 to get the transmission replaced at a honda dealership and went 4 days without a vehicle while it was worked on. I started the car to hear the same exact grinding sound I had brought the vehicle in with and they had to once more replace the transmission... I'm not sure where all these great honda reviews have came from.
