Called them on 05NOV04 to make an reservation to have my car picked up in Boston, MA and transported to Los Angeles, CA. Gave them my info CC and they said they could pick it up on 10NOV or 11NOV. I asked them before I confirmed about the pickup date and they said, "no problem".

12NOV04- No pickup yet, call them to ask for a status they said they needed to change the pickup date due they would now reschedule it for the 15th. No biggie.

16NOV04- Called them again because they did not pick up the car, they said they had not had an update yet, but would call me back. Never did, and I forgot to ask for a timeframe on the pickup.

17NOV04- Called again, lady answered said she couldn't give me and update, took my number and verified it off the contract, she said she would call.

18NOV04- Sent and email with the hope of getting a response from there. No luck.

22NOV04- Called again and asked when they planned to pickup the car, and what I would need to do to cancel my reservation. Lady on the phone said that she had 15 business days (03DEC04) to pickup the car before I could get a full refund, or else there was a $250.00 service charge... Nice huh? So I called my CC company and disputed the charges. They said they would issue me a credit in 2 Days, and that I needed to file out some paperwork they would send.

So I call back Autotrail, and cancel and they want something in writing saying that I understand there is a $250.00 charge to cancel and that i need to fax that over to get the rest of the refund. When I tell them I disputed the charges and they could work with my CC company the lady got pissed and hung up on me.

So that's the story...
