RUDE service, NEVER delivered as promised RIPOFF Bayville New York

On 12/10/04, I arranged to have my car picked up by Autotrail Transporters for 1/11/05. They made me give my credit card # over the phone and immediately charged me $880 before seeing any paperwork. When January approached, I called to ask when the truckers were going to pick up my car. They gave me NO STATUS and said they'd call me back, but they never did. I had to repeatedly call back to ask for a status, but they refused to update me with any info. They were awfully rude to me on the phone; they constantly put me on hold, unprofessionally taunted and yelled at me, and HUNG UP on me twice!

Three days pass the pick up date, I had to catch my flight. I was relocating from the MA to CA, and my car still was not picked up. Autotrail Transporters still could not, did not, would not give me a status. I had to take another alternative and use another company that accomodated my immediate needs. I called Autotrail Transporters to have my pick up cancelled. They immediately called me back and left me 3 voicemails letting me know they're charging me a $250 fine. (They never called me before — why now?)

I will fight this in court if I have to. I wish for them to get sued and bankrupt one of these days. NO ONE DESERVES this very poor treatment. They have terrible customer service. All I wanted was them to pick up my car. They didn't do that. I pleaded with them, and at least what they could've done was to to give me a status when they were going to pick up my car!

What's worse — They're verbally abusive to customers. They're not apologetic when it was Autotrail Transporters who didn't deliver what they have promised.
