I rented a car online from my home in Calgary Ab Canada to be picked up in Victoria B.C. Canada. The price I thought I was agreeing to was 293.69 this amount was close to the competors' price. To my surprise when my Master Card arrived I was billed $485.45. Upon checking the contract I noticed that it said 293.69 GBP. I was amazed that GBP stands for Great Britain Pound. 1) Now I am aware that there is a universal symbol for the British currency and it certainly is NOT the letter "P". 2) Why would anyone in Canada expect to pay a bill in a currency other than Canadian or American. Hertz Customer service have been most misleading and have not responded to my concerns or e-mails. I request a refund from Hertz of the amount 191.76 in Canadian funds please.
