I had gone to Applebees in the Staten Island mall this evening with my mother we order got our food everything was fine. Then after we paid the bill I slipped 7$ in the folder where the checks are placed as a tip. The waiter took the folder thanked us and walked off. Two minuets later just as we we're about to leave the waiter came up to us and asked us if everything was ok and if we had left any money on the table. I was taken aback because I've never had a waiter come up to me and asked if I had tipped them (which I always do) So when I told him that I had placed the money in the holder he tried to claim he never got it and maybe that it fell out on the floor which I know it didn't because after he took the holder he put it in his apron pocket right in front of me and nothing fell out. As someone who works in customer service I found the question very rude and showed a lack of service skills. I hope you don't train all your employees to ask about their tips.
