Restaurant at the Howard Johnson's in Portland Maine Told I was going to have to "Grovel" for my job after I was hospitalized with Influenza

I was very sick with influenza and was hospitalized for dehydration for two nights. I called and left a message on my manager voice mail saying I was in the hospital and I would not be able to make it to my next two shifts. Admitted on a Thurs. 3/17 and discharged on 3/19, my "work" the following day to let them I was out. I was told that I would need to have a doctors note. So I saw my PCP few days later and brought the note in. Called a few days letter to get my schedule and I was told I would have to come in and "Grovel" for my job.
