Made me poor

My position as an AC (alley coordinator or else expeditor in other restaurants) was once plush and really worth its hitting-the-ground-running pace but then some how (of course i hear stories), the regional GM got a hold of the news and now (for a year), i have been paid less than half of what i make. Tips really do make a big deal.

And the reason its been a year or more, because i keep hoping that some one some where will say oh, that sucks, here is some back pay. Just to give you an idea... I made about 7/hr and with tips on a good night, it can get up to 15/hr. Usually, though, i averaged 11/hr. Its when those busy nights get busy and the servers are extra generous that made being an AC worthwhile. Now, i get 9/hr, no tips, and all the same hard work. At times, even more is required of me (work that is, especially during Quality Assurance watch... During these times I am doing other people's side work or following up on their side work, to ensure complete temporary cleanliness). Just to top it all off, i recall days (valentines and mothers day) when business was very good and i made, once, 30/hr.

Now i am stuck. I do like my job but the pay or remembering how good it was, keeps me going. I excel at my work and usually only complain about work when not at work. I have asked managers for explanations and even went so far as asking for an apology and maybe the reason when only my job was made to suffer this sadness. Of course, a common answer is, i or we will look into it. Been waiting for something good to come of this for over a year.
