Ponderosa Restaurant
Forced to pay for steak that was incorrectly cooked. Would not adjust bill

My brother and I stopped for dinner at the Ponderosa while traveling through Salina, Kansas. We ordered two steak dinners which were late in being prepared.
Mine was incorrectly cooked. I told the waitress who took it back to the kitchen to be re-done. After waiting another length of time (my brother was finished) I asked that the bill be adjusted.

The manager refused saying they would box-up the steak. How do you eat a steak and baked potato going down the road in the dark? He said they would give me plastic utensils. It did not seem to matter that the whole problem stemmed from their mistake. I still had to pay.

So, in an effort not to have the "steak police" chase us down for not paying the bill, I paid by credit card and told them I would be disputing the charge.

Be warned. Don't go to the Ponderosa. Little Joe and Hoss are no longer there.
