Ripoff Took our Insurance Payment for hurricane damages and we can't fix our home, can't reach these people either - horrible company to deal with

Our home suffered much damage in Hurricane Ivan on September 16th - EMC required us to endorce and send them the insurance check[s] and we haven't heard from them since. We need an entire roof, are walking on concrete floors in part of the house, have stained and damaged ceilings and molding insulation in the attic. At this point when trying to call them I get immediately put on hold and never talking to anyone - stay on hold sometimes for up to an hour. Have had to involve the Mississippi Attorney General's office, as well as the Commissioner of Banking in MS to attempt to get our money so we can repair our home. These people [EMC] have caused us undue stress & burden from day one. We have contractors lined up to do the work - but no money to have the work done, because EMC won't give it back to us.
