Ripoff Keeping Hurricane Insurance Money Owensboro

My insurance adjustor was generous after Hurricane Rita, but USBank Home Mortgage is making it almost impossible to repair my home's hurricane damage. It took 9 phone calls and 6 months just to get the money from my refrigerator and "Additional Living Expense" funds. I had already replaced my refrigerator and had long since been home from our forced evacuation. One USbank "insurance specialist" I talked to said "no such funds were sent" and then I told her where it was written in my estimate. It then took three more months to get my money.

I had 4 different roofing companies give me estimates that were not willing to jump through the hoops required by USBank. (There were 49,00 roofs damaged in this area.) I ended up getting a company from Houston who had a home office paid to do such paperwork. And even at that, it cost less than the insurance company allowed, and USBank kept the extra money.

My family is living virtually in 3 rooms of a large house, because they will not send me the money to have my ceilings repaired. I am certain that they are doing this to a large number of people and getting interest off of hurricane victims money. You can take that to the bank...
