Hurricane Ike Damages

We had damages from the hurricane, at the time we were insured by AArp which is sub insurance by Hartford. My problem is this, my damages were over $14,000.00 and the deductable was $8,200. We were sent $4,579.12 we were told that they was holding 0ver $1,500 for som reason I still do not understand. We have sent invoices of over $8,000.00 now we are told that before we receive the remainder of the payment we must send an additional $8000of invoices. The money they sent was used to put on our roof which was blown off. We have had to do dry wall to two rooms, carpet two room we will have to replace furniture. We loss food they insist on not sending us the remaining so we can finish repairing our home we though we had insurance but finding out we had nothing with these people. I think we have been wronged by this company and need someone to hear us. We do not have money to spend like this. We still have damage to be repaired. Is there something we can do about this? We are hurting for money to repair our home because of this rip off of an insurance. Thank You Julia Jackson
