I am responding to a rebuttal that was sent to me on the subject of litton loan service delaying my insurance check.in ansure to Diane of Buffalo NY. The Insurance in question was a replacement cost Homeowners polocy. My home was almost totaly destroyed. It just so happens Im a contractor and had built the house myself so naturally I did the rebuilding myself.

My Insurance Co. Sent me a check for the total cost of the rebuild but the check had to be made out tome and litton loan service, I signed the check and sent it to them. They then disbursed it in Five payments acording to percentage of completion of work. I had to pay them a fee to come out and inspect how much work was compleated each time.

Once they got the check they refused to send the first check until I had a percentage of the work done. After spending almost $30,000 of my own money to complete the first stage of the rebuild, they again refused to send my check saying my payment not payed.

Of course it was. After a week or so of ther bull, I had first American home Equity [the company who sold them my mortgage]send them proof that my payment was current and they already had Received the payment Via a wire transfer weeks ago. They then told me they had thirty days to apply it to my account.

By now Im really P. Oed, I told them If I send them another payment next day mail how long would they have to apply it to my account? That would have to be applyed on the day it was received was there answer. When they fineally sent me a $27,000 check for the $30,000 worth of work I had compleated. They deliberatly sent it to the wrong address and I had to go to UPS to get it.By then I was ready for another Inspection and was due another $50,000 or so. This went on until I got the final inspection from the local building inspector.

Then I demanded payment in full witch I finealy received. Now I'm mixed up with Home Loan Center who has me stuck for a $600 lock in fee. This company has a slue of complaints on your website, to which I plan to add one more! Thank god I stumbled on to your web site befor they stuck me for any more. I thank you all for the work your doing this is a great website, keep it up.
