Will destroy your credit

I have always had perfect credit and recently applied for an american express card and was denied. The reason being - serious delinquency on accounts. I knew this could not be right so i pulled my credit report and there was a capital one card showing bad paying history.

I found this to be odd since i have never before owned a capital one card. After extensive research and calling capital one i found out that in the past i had applied for a card with them and was approved.

I moved before ever receiving the card or any notification of being approved. Thankfully the card was never activated, but that did not matter to theem they charged me a membership fee of $35.00. Of course it was sent to the wrong adress. Meanwhile i continued to get late charges on this membership fee on this card i had never received or activated.

I have tried 4 times to contact capital one and i always get a customer service representative who tells me that credit problems are only dealed with through a certain dept. And that dept. Only contacts people via mail. This was over 3 months ago and i have yet to hear from them.

I have contaced the bbb and all of the credit agencies. It's a big pain and capital one is impossible to deal with. Ihave been trying to reach someone about getting this rediculous charge off my credit for a long time now. I personally don't think that this "department" exists.
