Bait and Switch

Opened an account with a promotional "0% interest for 12 months" puchase. At month 9, I made an additional purchase - no promotion. At month 10, I paid off the promotional balance and continued to pay without fail on remaining balance. At month 12 I get hit with a years worth of finance charges on the promotional balance. Ken informed me that they had been applying payments to the balance with the highest interest rate and they were forced to do that because Obama passed a law... REALLY!!!

Bottom line is this company's practices are predatory. I would highly recommend NOT entering into any kind of credit agreement with them. Needless to say, I no longer have a Barclay account, and never will.
