I was contacted in late june over the phone they told me that i was approved for a 2000$ credit card, with no annual fee, no monthly fees, and 0%interest for 3 years. There was a one time set up fee of $249 which was explained allowed them to offer such a great deal, basically you were paying in advance. Myself with not so great credit am used to having to pay setup fees for a partially secured card, so it wasnt terribly unusual to me. I was also told that this was a new approach the credit card companies were trying to help people pay off their cards quicker and have a better credit standing overall.

I called to find out when i would be receiving the card in late july, since i was told within 25 business days. They were extremely rude, non-apologetic, and told me i would be receiving it within a week or two. End of the first week of august i received a package full of crap, cd rom, coupon book, credit repair book, and a paper to fill out for a credit card requiring $40 more. I again called, asking to speak with the rep heather who had given me her rep#wmo4 (if i had any questions or complaints) to request a refund, rude and adament they esplained to me that they could not connect me to her and that there were no refunds!

I have filed a dispute with my bank and am confident that i will be credited the $249.in the same day as filing the dispute, i received a call from advantage plus with the exact same shpeal, but wanting $339 for a $2500 credit limit.

From now on i will check here before i do anything, i only wish i was wise enough to check here first back in june before any of this happened.
