Overdraft fees

Was charged 2 $35 fees for insufficient funds but I have never signed up for overdraft protection. Sovereign has signed me up for overdraft protection twice in the last 2 years without my consent. When this was addressed with their customer service department they admitted that I have canceled out of over draft protection for my accounts (4 other accounts with this bank that all have various sums of money that would have covered the insufficient funds). But that they would need to look into the issue before returning my $70 in fees. I guess the overdraft laws can be ignored by big banks in the US. Take your money to a credit union instead.
