Freud on a verison account that has been paid

I have recieved collection calls on a account that I could not get a awsnser as to who it was for. Then when i researched the company online i gathered it was for a verizon bill that was paid off and i have proof because i just paid taxes on it as a form of income and if it is for some other bill it is freuad because i have never had an accout with at&t, nissan motors, citibank they are trying to collect freudulintly on an account that has been paid off. Why is this company still aloud to be in buissiness and i would like something done for me and all these other cunsomers and our hard earned moneys. This has to stop and i have even heard that this company can stop your checking account and make your life a living hell
