Caller blamed me for late payments on unknown account

I ordered a book advertised on usacomplaints.com and used a credit card to pay for it. This order went through PayPal. On April 17 I received a call from Lower My Bills, PayPal, accusing me of being late on payments on an account. I did not know I had an account with them. This account was using my SS# and birthdate. I advised the person from PayPal that they had the wrong person. This person then began scamming and trying to con information from me.

I was very confused about what was happening. I denied everything and got off the phone with this person. I tried to collect my thoughts about what had happened.

The next day I called PayPal to resolve the issue and requested that my SS# and birthdate be removed from this account. The people that have this account called PayPal and requested that they correct the information on the account. PayPal refused and accused me of family fraud. The person who has the account did nothing wrong.

When I ordered the book from Consolidated Media, employees of PayPal took advantage of this order and used it to con, scam, harass and threaten me and my family with fraud. In the process they involved a lot of innocent people and shared a lot of personal information that should have been kept confidential. PayPal also took advantage of Consumer Media Publishing.
