Ripoff will not allow cancellation

I called to cancel this service July 9th and was told at that time that I would have to call back before August 1st I returned the call on July 26th and was informed that I called too late to cancel this account.

I was charged $99.99, three times in 2003. I was charged twice on Oct. 3rd and once on Nov. 3rd and now they are trying to debit my account again two times August 1 st 2004.

I was not aware that they are supposed to charge another membership fee for the year before a year was over.

They have not made one credit report to any major company on my behalf they have only billed me for a service that I have not used and I have not ever made a purchase from them for them to be billing me monthly.
I just don't undertstand how anyone gets by with this type of decete
