Ripoff, Titan promised a credit card to help with debt, ended up putting me in debt

I was contacted by a customer service rep. Who explained to me that her company was offering a $2500.00 credit card if I paid a fee of $299.00. I explained that I was a young single female and $299.00 was a lot of money to me. She went on to explain that I would receive my credit card in 12-26 days, but more likely 12 due to my geographic location. It was further explained that I would be able to draw cash off of the credit card when I received it.

The money was taken out of my account April 22. I waited three weeks before I called and spoke with a customer service rep who was extremely rude to me and would not let me speak. I called another week later and had to ask for specific information, I was told my packet had been mailed a week before.

By this time I had no cable (still don't), my phone was about to be turned off, and my rent was due.
When my packet arrived I was disgusted to find that the only piece of paper that had anything to do with a $2500.00 credit card was one that said I could send additional money and receive a card that I had to put money on before taking it off.

I called customer service again, irate. It took 3 days for me to get through to them. They stated that if I returned the packet I would receive an immediate refund. Its now mid-June and I just received a letter saying that I needed to sign and return the letter to get my refund within 30 days.

I now have two cash advances out that I would not have needed to get. My broken car is still broken and my cable is out. On top of that, my brother was diagnosed with cancer and has struggled through 7 surgeries, chemo, and radiation, and still managed to graduate. Because of Titan Financial I was unable (financially) to travel home to watch him walk.in such a time of crisis its amazing there are people out there who would do this... It makes me sick!
