Did nothing about stopping an unauthorized transaction

Back in February of I had noticed a transaction that I had not made when I went online to check my checking account balance. I contacted Bank of America immediately via their online message center, and then I went into the Bank itself on two seperate occassions, the first time I could not wait any longer I was on my 1 hour lunch break and had spent 45 minutes waiting and not once spoken to by any Bank member. I went in the next day and finally got help. I told my story and she immediately got on the phone to the check fraud department and spoke with someone there. She waived all of the returned check fees that had been caused because of this 214.00 unauthorized transaction, although this didn't help me with returned check fees to any of the others that I had wrote checks to. The 214.00 was withdrawn from my account by Discover Card, who I had made a payment to the month before (check by phone). Anyway, she spoke with this person who transferred her to another person, she spoke with this person for a minute, and then handed me the phone. I was told that when you make a check by phone payment with a creditor, if you owe a balance to that person, they can take money from your account at any time. I told her that was not right and that I did not authorize them to do this and I wanted the money put back in my account. I was pissed. To make a long story short, I told them to close my account as of that day, and to this day I still have Bank of America calling my home to try and collect money from me that I do not owe them, they never returned the money to me, and now are saying that I owe them money. I told them the last time I spoke with them the amount was disputed, I did not authorize the transaction, and that they were out of money because they didn't reverse the transaction. So people don't ever give your checking account information over the phone!!!
