MBNA - Equifax
MBNA America Customer Service ruined my credit! Rip-off!

Business & Finance

At the end of July I requested a payoff of my loan because I was refinancing my home. The next payment was due September 2 and the bill was paid off on September 7th. I called MBNA to tell them the payment would be a little late because the paperwork did not go through. I also asked if I would be charged any late fees. The customer service representative told me no and everything would be fine.

Apparently it became a problem because 2 months later in September I received a letter from MBNA and was referred to EQUIFAX because I didn't pay the late fees. I mailed them there late fee money. I tried to contact them and ask what happened they were very rude and uncooperative. I received numerous letters from MBNA stating I owed them additional money. I ignored the letter because the balanced owed was ZERO DOLLARS.

I wrote MBNA and Equifax 2 letters one in November and another in December. The first one was a complaint and a request to close my account of zero dollars. I still continued to receive letters from MBNA that I hadn't paid my bill and the exact bill they mailed to me owed had a balance of ZERO.in December I was still receiving letters it finally stopped when I wrote a check for ZERO DOLLARS! What a joke. I will never purchase anything that includes MBNA. They treat there customers unfair.
