I entered this credit union to open a new account. I was up front with Jared, the gentleman that I spoke with, that I had a negative banking mark on my credit due to an account that I had opened for someone in the past. He assured me that this would not be a problem.

Jared took all of my personal information, and opened my account. I asked to confirm that there were no problems, and he told me that no, everything had been APPROVED, and that I should have my checks and debit card within a few days. He took my opening deposit in CASH.

Three days later he called me and left a PUBLIC message on my ANSWERING MACHING that due to my "HISTORY OF ACCOUNT ABUSE", they would not be able to open an account for me. When I explained that he had assured me that this would not be a problem, he used the "I don't remember that" response.

I asked to speak with his supervisor. Amazingly, they were all in meeting or out. He was apparently left alone, although he had just told me he was new at his job. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor. I ended up speaking with someone named Sue, who told me that there was nothing that could be done, and that they would be sending me a check for my deposit. No apologies for the inconvenience, no mention of the public message that was left on my answering machine or the violation of my privacy, simply the canned "do what you feel you need to do."

STAY AWAY from this institution. It is apparent that they are a tiny, two bit, fly by night operation with which your money should not be trusted. If they can't communicate properly to a prospective customer, how are they going to handle your money on a daily basis?
