Is deceptive. I sent $468.00 but never rec'd acknowledgement or another invoice. Rip-off! Virginia

Back in 2003 I started to consolidate my loans. Capitol was listed as creditor and a check in the amount of $468.00 was forwarded. I didn't realize at the time this amount only brought the acct current. After hearing from attorney, CAPITOL ONE decided they want $311.00. I responded to the attorney by telling them I was just laid off and was seeking employment daily.

I just got a job although only part-time I can start making some sort of arrangment, in the meantime I receive a summons to court Apr. 22. I don't want to lose this job by taking time off so soon. The amount owed is $2.084.59. Plus I'm still seeking a fulltime job. With two children in college and other bills this is something I need to have reconsider, or delayed. Please help.
