Lawyers Seek to Garnish Wages Although I Was Paying $50 Monthly

Since September I have been paying the Capital One Bank at least $50 per month to pay off my debt. Somehow the Capital One Bank never told their lawyers that I had been doing this, and now their lawyers want to garnish my wages for the full amount plus attorneys fees when I was already in the process of paying it off. I believe that I have paid off almost 1/2 of the debt that I owed Capital One Bank. The lawyers want to garnish 1/4 of my earnings on the next 4 paychecks for the next 60 days.
