Over exsessive overdraft charges

I opened my checking account in October in the first month i had no problems with them.in November i had deposited a check for $243.00 Which they told me it would be able to be withdrawn in 5 business days which was fine but the 5 business days turned into 2 weeks.

Which this caused my checking account to be overdrawn due to 2 checks i had was under the understanding that i would have the money in my account when the checks cleared but of course the check that was being with held was not realesed for 2 weeks.

I had my checks directly deposited in December so the money that was being held plus my direct deposet was used for thier overdraft fees. Which is $5.00 a day plus the overdrawn fees of $25.00 each.

Come January when my checks were directly deposited again they took $400.00 Of my deposit, When i called and asked them why they gave me this whole song and dance about charges and this and that. Well in turn this caused 3 more of my checks to bounce. Which at this point i didn't know what to do.

I knew that i had had enough money in the account to pay my checks i wrote to begin with. So with them taking the money from the account for thier so called fees that they stuck me with. This in turn cost me $30.00 now for these check fees plus $5.00 a day.

I called them again and told them to close my account and thier response to me was we can't do that with an overdrawn account.

So i had moved over to another bank in which because thier was no money in us bank they continued to charge me $5.00 dollars a day plus they also was charging $30.00 for an overdraft fee.

Then i received another phone call from us bank telling me that my account was up to $400.00 and what was i going to do about this? Of course i told them that i could pay at the time so she told me that they were going to close my account with them and turn it into chck-systems. Then she told me it was going to cost me another $30.00 for the account being closed.

Now i ask why when i asked for the account to be closed in the first place they could not do it? This is insane why do these places get away with this.

I think us bank should be closed, and people be refunded thier money.

I was would also like to say they are the rudist people i have ever dought with. Also one of the places that one of my checks bounced at the owner told me that they also think us bank are nothing but theives.
