Corp ripoff artists are not the words for it

I cant believe i have finally found a place to complain about this company. I have had nothing but problems since the beginning wih them but it all started with equicredit and just for anyones records equicredit and fairbanks is now 1 in the same.

I started with them in feb of 02. I was put on a forebarance agreement because they said i was behind with equicredit (and equicredit said they werent takeing payments from anyone in ny due to the 9-11 tradigty.) so i was sending payments and i had an emergency missed 1 payment and then was told not to send untill% and when i called to tell them i was sending a payment they told me not to. This went on until may of 03. I would call them everyday 2-3 times a day at times and was always told the same thing.

On june 9th i recieved a call from them "reminding" me that the foreclosure sale date was the following monday. I informed them i knew nothing of this. They kept saying well we sent you notification of it. (they never did) finally i had to declare bankruptcy to stop them but that didnt work. It only held it off... Then the wed after the sale date was supposed to happen i recieved a letter saying the mortgage was being sold to gmac... Theres another one you dont wanna get stuck with. Well low and behold the week before thanksgiving i recieved a letter from gmac that the sale date was dec 16th. I fought and fought but nothing helped. And as far as i know the house was sold but none will tell me anything... I feel for all of you and wish you all the best of luck... We need to come toghter as burned customers and sue them for all there worth.
