Ripoff

Me and my wife assumed notes on a mobile home from Oakwood Homes in Alexandria Louisiana before they shut down that office. We decided to try to buy a mobile home after our Bankruptcy. We knew we were going to get a bad interest rate so we expected it.

We accepted the terms of the agreement, but a year later we went online to get our payoff, and realized that the amount we were financed for was 5800.00 more. So I called the office in Greensboro, North Carolina (Oakwood Acceptance) and they said that we had to pay for all of the back monthly payments that the person buying the mobile home initially did not pay, and also for the repairs to the mobile home in order to sell it.

The repairs were just covered up until after we bought it to realize that all the holes in the walls were covered up by mirrors. The main thing is how they added more to our payoff after the loan agreement was signed. I just don't want anyone who is starting out to make the same mistake as we did, sure they own their own bank, but you will pay for it in the long run.

If I could get rid of it I would, but the problem is our payoff is too high
