Insurance is a waste of money!

After paying about one year insurance on my daughter's nexus one, the phone was stolen at school. Asurion make us pay them $130 first, before proceeding with the claim. Then we waited for a week or maybe even more. I called them and they says they don't know when they will get a nexus one, but they can send us a samsung galaxy S 4g, so i says great, BUT instead Asurion just send us a samsung vibrant and says it is the same as a nexus one. The samsung vibrant's internet service is very slow, and bigger, My daughter is very unhappy. And the insurance rep. Yolanda says i can take that phone or return the phone and get my $130 back, And she give me no other option " what is the point of the insurance?" So We WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF SAVING THE INSURANCE MONEY AND USE THAT MONEY TO BUY A NEW PHONE WHEN IS IT LOST OR STOLEN.
